I dreamt a dream

It is dark, it must be night. I am watching a total eclipse of the sun from a far distance. The sun is being eclipsed by the earth. Gradually I watch it disappear and then return. After the end of the eclipse a small golden ball of light comes out of the sun. It begins to move towards me very rapidly, it arrives all around me, filling my ears with an unimaginably beautiful ringing sound, thousands upon thousands of tintinnabulations. The light enters my head through my ears, I am filled with golden light. I am aware that I am dreaming, I try to move, I am paralyzed. I wake up.

Thom DeVita portfolio!!

I just received a new portfolio from Thom DeVita, and I thought I'd share. In addition to being one of the most influential tattooers in the history of modern American tattooing, DeVita is perhaps the most prolific of living American folk artists. He works in series, using different techniques ranging from collage, rubbings, stencils, and dry brush. The result is an aesthetic that is powerful, playful, inviting and at the same time obscure and hard to decipher. If you would like more information about Thom, or information about how you can go about purchasing a portfolio from him, see headbandbrothers.com
